Hackley Community Care is opening NowCare medical services at 1550 Clinton Street on May 10. Services at the revamped facility will treat acute medical conditions that require immediate care.
What does this mean?
Acute conditions are those that require medical attention, but are not critical enough to require a trip to the emergency room.
These conditions and symptoms include, but are not limited to:
- Sinus problems
- Sleep concerns
- Pregnancy tests, family planning, and birth control
- Other acute conditions
- Bites and stings
- Pink eye
- Boils and cysts
NowCare offers same-day, walk-in assessments and treatments of these kinds of minor, yet acute issues.
What about mental health conditions?
What sets Hackley Community Care’s NowCare services apart from similar facilities is their ability to also offer assessment and treatment for acute mental health conditions.
These conditions may include:
- Sexual abuse
- Other negative experiences
This means that if you or someone you love is experiencing a mental health crisis, you could walk through the doors of NowCare and receive care right away.
For nearly 30 years, Hackley Community Care has had a vision to care for families in the greatest need. We remain as committed to that mission now as we were when we opened our first facility in 1992.
NowCare medical services at Clinton Street is the next step in providing the services our community needs most. As Communications Director Alexis Dye says, “We are expanding services to the surrounding residents near the Clinton Street location because we are committed to providing access to those who have relied on having healthcare options within walking distance of where they live.”
Putting a finer point on it, Dye adds, “We want to make sure no one is left without care or services in an acute situation.”
And we mean no one. You do not need to be a patient at Hackley Community Care to take advantage of NowCare services.
