Shelly Ellingboe, LPC

Shelly Ellingboe, LPC is a native of Western Michigan. She received a MA in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She comes to HCC with many years of experience counseling children in elementary, middle school and high school settings. 

She is experienced in play, cognitive behavioral, group, and person-centered approaches to therapy. Shelly specializes in anxiety, depression, divorce and changing families, social skills, anger, trauma and working with children who are neurodivergent. 

Shelly is committed to improvements in our community through volunteerism. She has served on the board for North Ottawa Girls on the Run, The Family Hope Foundation, and Child Abuse Council of Ottawa County.  She worked as a member of The College Access Network and provided supervision to counselors through GVSU, MSU, CMU and WMU. 

She is a proud parent and grandparent and enjoys spending time with family, relaxing at the beach, attending book clubs and traveling.
