Samara Champion, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Samara Champion MSN, APRN, FNP-C, received her master’s in nursing from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Samara, aka Sam, is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) of which she is also a member. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Michigan as well as a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner Sam worked as a paramedic and a registered nurse for over 20 years in adult and pediatric intensive care. She is passionate about treating illnesses and caring for acute health care needs across all age groups and enjoys helping patients improve their health.

Sam firmly believes in “progress over perfection” regarding patient care. She encourages her patients to take ownership of their health and wellness and guides them in finding the tools needed to thrive. She believes patient education is essential, making it a priority to answer any questions as often as needed.

As a Hackley Community Care provider, she is eager to partner with the citizens of Muskegon to help maintain and improve their health needs.

In her free time, Sam can be found either reading or whipping up tasty recipes in the kitchen with her husband and three children.
