N. Odalis Miedema, MD

Prior to joining Hackley Community Care, Dr. Miedema served as Medical Director and Family Physician at Community Health Center in Holland, MI and Family Practice Physician at InterCare Community Health Network in Holland, MI. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the AMA.

Her medical education includes a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Med from William Bryan Jennings College in Dayton TN and she obtained her Medical Degree at Francisco Marroquin School of Medicine in Guatemala, Central America. Her residency training was at St Mary’s Trinity Medical Center in Grand Rapids, MI.

A believer in community service, Dr. Miedema has served as the keynote speaker at various Hispanic Women Conferences, Women and Adolescents Conferences, Upward Bound, and numerous schools; Medical Mission Campaigns to Mexico, Honduras and Bolivia; clinical instructor at Ross Medical Education Center in Grand Rapids, MI; volunteer and interpreter for Clinica Santa Maria in Grand Rapids; board member for Ready to Learn Council, Latin Americans United for Progress, Inc., and Healthy Body, Mind and Spirit. She participated in a Diabetes and Health Disparity collaborative, is culturally competent in the Latino culture and fluent in English and Spanish.
