Melissa Wynsma, MSN, FNP-C

Melissa earned her Master of Nursing from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, MI, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.

She is a licensed Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Melissa comes to Hackley Community Care with over 20 years of nursing experience, having provided care in the emergency department, surgical care and OB services. Melissa may look familiar to some of you as she completed a clinical rotation in HCC’s OB and Women’s Health Department.

Melissa is a lifelong resident of Muskegon and is excited to be continuing her career as a healthcare provider in this community. Working with patients toward their goals through optimal health is one of Melissa’s passions. Improving her patient’s individual health increases their opportunities for community connectedness. She is excited to be able to offer primary care services to patients of all ages, and hopes to build a multi-generational client base.

Melissa and her husband enjoy West Michigan’s 4-seasons offerings with their children. They can be found hiking, kayaking, swimming, and cross-country skiing depending on the season. They also enjoy live music and watching their kids participate in school activities.
