Matthew Whitaker, LPC

Matthew has had a passion for mental health since he first researched the various professions as a student in high school. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, along with his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. Having an interest in managing health departments, Matthew went on to obtain his Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management with a concentration in Leadership from Michigan State University.

Guided by the values instilled in him throughout his academic journey, Matthew is determined to be an empathetic, innovative, and results-driven professional, dedicated to implementing positive transformation in the ever-evolving landscape of mental health.

Matthew has had experience working in the FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) realm delivering school-based counseling services to adolescents and teenagers, as well as community-based counseling to adults. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music, collecting vintage clothing, and rooting for the Spartans. Go Green!
