Karen Hayslip is a graduate of Baker College in Muskegon, MI and is credentialed as a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) through the Human Resources Certification Institute.
Karen has served as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Hackley Community Care since April 2016. Karen has been a dedicated human resource service professional in the Muskegon Community. Before joining Hackley Community Care, her professional experience includes nearly ten years of service respectively with the Muskegon Chamber of Commerce/Economic Development agency, Branch Manager for Manpower and Human Resource Specialist for the Muskegon Area ISD.
Karen has had numerous professional, community and volunteer affiliations including SHRM, Michigan Negotiator’s Association, Institute for Healing Racism, Employer’s Association of West Michigan, United Way, Rotary, Intercultural Leadership Academy and the Community Leadership Academy.
In her spare time, you will find Karen taking advantage of the many things Muskegon County has to offer including enjoying the state parks, bike trails, beaches, birds and fishing. She enjoys attending local events, art fairs and festivals and appreciates live music of all kinds.
