Cece Riley joined Hackley Community Care as the Associate Director of Communications and Marketing in April 2023. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University in 2007 and further graduated from the Institute for Organization Management, receiving “IOM” certification in 2017.
She has previously held leadership roles directing communications for the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce and HealthWest. During her time managing the community relations department at HealthWest, she truly fell in love with the health and human service industry. Some of her most public work includes being one of the leaders behind the Watch Muskegon campaign launch and leading the “Mask up Muskegon” efforts during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She has received several recognitions and certifications including being named Young Woman of the Year by the Greater Muskegon Jaycees in 2013, awarded as one of Muskegon’s Future 15 in 2014 and recognized as one of Muskegon’s 40 under 40 by Mlive in 2015. She is passionate about JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) work and serves as a member of the Community Foundation’s LEAD Giving Circle, and has attended the Institute for Healing Racism and Coming Together for Racial Understanding.
In her free time, she enjoys camping, kayaking, playing pickleball and cornhole, as well as all the great assets the Muskegon Lakeshore has to offer. You will often see her and her family around town enjoying Muskegon’s wonderful festivals and events.
