Amy Varnado Picture

Amy Varnado is a seasoned social worker, having been in practice since graduating from the University of Michigan School of Social Work in 1996.  She is licensed in the State of Michigan to practice at both the clinical and macro levels.

Her professional experience includes multiple tenures in community mental health, hospice, inpatient case management, and outpatient clinical counseling settings.

Her community and civic commitments have included serving as a trustee on the Boards of Muskegon Christian School, the Hume Home Assisted Living Facility, and the Nelson Neighborhood Improvement Association.  Additionally, she served on the City of Muskegon’s Citizen District Council.

When not active in these roles, she can be found hiking in the forest, running road and trail races, walking her dog “Elvis” and spending precious time with her spouse and adult children.  She is also an excellent cook! (Ask about her home-made cinnamon rolls!)
