Wayne H. Kohn, DO is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Kohn’s medical education began at Ferris State University’s School of Pharmacy in Big Rapids, MI, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He practiced as a Pharmacist for five years before continuing his education at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy. He then completed his internship at Bay Osteopathic Hospital in Bay City, MI and Family Practice Residency at Rocky Mountain Osteopathic Hospital in Denver, CO.
Dr. Kohn’s professional experience includes working as a Family Physician in several area hospitals in Northern Michigan. He also worked as an Emergency Flight Physician at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI, Flight Surgeon and the Chief of Aerospace Medicine for the 110th Fighter Wing Division of the Michigan Air National Guard in Battle Creek, MI. He has 23 years of military experience and retired from the Michigan Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007.
Dr. Kohn began his medical management experience as the Medical Director and Family Physician at Muskegon Family Care (a Federally Qualified Health Center FQHC) in Muskegon, MI.
Currently, Dr. Kohn serves as Family Physician and the Chief Health Officer at Hackley Community Care. His professional memberships include: the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Practice, Michigan Osteopathic Association, West Michigan Osteopathic Association, American College of Physician Executives, and American Academy of Pain Management. He is on staff and a member of the Credentials and Privileging Committee of Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, MI
