Valerie Blondin, Chief Financial Officer

Valerie J. Blondin is a native of West Michigan and attended West Michigan Christian High School. She graduated with honors from Baker College with her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, a minor in Management.

Valerie’s professional career includes many years of physician office experience, particularly in the billing area. She also held an adjunct teaching position at Baker College teaching insurance billing classes while attending classes.

An opening at the local hospital pulled her finance roles and medical background together as she accepted a position at Hackley Hospital as an Accounting Manager. A merger between Hackley and Mercy Hospital in 2008 moved her career into a slightly different direction as she was promoted to Business Director over the nursing division. Currently, Valerie serves as CFO for Hackley Community Care. Her scope of responsibility is to ensure adequate internal controls, remain compliant with legal and regulatory rulings, produce accurate financial statements, develop an annual fiscal budget and provides supervision to the accounting department.

Her professional associations include Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and Michigan Primary Care Association (MPCA).
