Shelly Ellingboe, LPC is a native of Western Michigan. She received a MA in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. She provided school counseling in elementary, middle school and high school settings. She maintains a private practice and most recently held a counseling position in Jalisco, Mexico at the American School of Puerto Vallarta.
She is experienced in play, cognitive behavioral, group, and client centered approaches to therapy. Shelly specializes in anxiety, depression, divorce and changing families, social skills, anger and trauma.
Shelly is committed to improvements in our community through volunteerism. She has served on the board for North Ottawa Girls on the Run as well as coached, board member for The Family Hope Foundation, member of The College Access Network, and provided supervision to counselors through GVSU, MSU, CMU and WMU.
The mother of two adult children, she enjoys spending time with family, relaxing at the beach, attending book clubs and travel.
