Dr. Maureen Street, MD is a graduate of the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. She also completed her Family Practice Residency at Michigan State University.
Prior to her medical education and training, she was involved with the Civil Rights and Anti-War movement, which led to her commitment for caring for the disenfranchised, focusing on empowerment, and self-determination for all people. Her commitment in these areas of equality, are still at the core of her passion, commitment and her style of patient care as a family physician.
Dr. Street has a long history of working with underserved communities. She opened the Browning Claytor Health Clinic in the inner city of Grand Rapids after completing her residency training. To this day, the clinic continues to grow and serve the needs of patients and their community.
Dr. Street believes in enjoying life to the fullest, and loves to laugh, sail and cycle. She is the proud mother of three children and two grandchildren.
