Integrity. Respect. Compassion. Quality.

Kimberley Sims, Board Member

A graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Film and Video Production, Kimberley has mastered the art of sharing messages. Professionally, that mastery has lent support to the re-framing of mindsets, community actions and advocacy.

Kim has begun a new journey toward stabilizing the health of her community. Health is wealth! Never one to settle for the status quo, her messaging is now focused on health care and food security. “I want to change the way we engage our community by empowering residents with knowledge, and the understanding that there is power in using their voice to access the basic things that they need”.

Innovative, bold, perseverant and strong, Kim is working to ensure all voices are represented and heard in conversations, to ensure diversity in rallying around equity, empowerment and education. She continuously raises the standard of expectation for residents in the county and dreams of a unified community where residents can live, work and play together and diversity is celebrated.

Kimberley is married to Andrew and they have three children.
