Elise Newcomer, PA-C, received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University, and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio.
During college, Elise began her patient care experience as a certified nurse aide. Elise also served on a mission trip in the Republic of Congo, Africa for a mission hospital. While there, she learned about tropical disease treatment, delivered babies, gave wound care and assisted with surgeries. It was during this mission trip in Africa that her passion for service to others through medicine was solidified.
Professional affiliations include the Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. Elise is certified in Basic Life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Elise’s clinical interest include cardiology and internal medicine. She is passionate about her patients’ total health, and that they are whole in body, mind, and spirit.
When she is not providing care to her patients, she enjoys exploring west Michigan with friends, doing her own DIY projects and fostering her coffee addiction.
