When Jennifer Baker, LMSW, was in college, she realized she wanted to help people, pursuing a degree in social work would enable her to do just that. Jennifer earned two Bachelor’s of Arts Degrees from Hope College; one in Sociology and another in Sociology/Psychology. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo, MI. She is licensed in the State of Michigan and has certifications from Evergreen Certifications in trauma and anxiety.
“I have worked for almost 30 years with children and families, helping individuals address various issues related to parenting, grief, blended families, co-parenting, anxiety, trauma, and academic and behavioral issues. I enjoy watching people develop their own inner strength and learn to empower themselves. During my career I have realized that I have a passion for working with children. Giving a child the tools to cope and deal with what they are facing, watching them be successful in their personal lives and excel in their future endeavors is incredibly fulfilling. When I am not working, I spend time with my son, my friends, and family. I also enjoy spending time with my two cats, sailing my sunfish, traveling and reading.”
