Jenifer James, LPC, is a native of Lansing, Michigan, and has dedicated much of her adult life to the service of others in the capacity of advocate, facilitator, or mentor. Graduating top of her class from Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix, AZ, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Master of Science Degree in Professional Counseling respectfully
Jenifer utilizes her training in substance abuse while working with students, women and families suffering from substance use and co-occurring disorders. She also enjoys engaging children through play in order to help them process through past trauma, identify healthy coping skills, interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and behavioral concerns. Jenifer understands the complexities associated with this population and she has a desire to assist patients through their journey.
Mrs. James utilizes her talents in varying mediums from the business sector to the religious realm – emphasizing her commitment to encouraging the growth of individuals facing challenges in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. She takes pride in developing and executing skill building opportunities for the youth and creating a safe environment for them to explore their mental/emotional wellbeing.
As a wife and proud mother of two, Jenifer recognizes the importance of self-care and taking time to unplug. She enjoys traveling, singing, spending quality time with her family, and expressing herself through her creativity.
