Integrity. Respect. Compassion. Quality.

Christopher Sandford, Board Member

Christopher is a native of Muskegon and serves as the senior pastor of the Ambassadors Church in Muskegon MI and the director of the Muskegon Responsible Father’s Initiative. He also served in the United States Coast Guard and attended Grand Valley State University.

“I chose to be a part of the Hackley Community Care (HCC) board because I believe it is what God called me to do. I pray and ask God to lead me, in what programs, services and organizations I should become involved with. I am very thankful that God opened the door for me to be a part of this organization. I truly believe in the people and its Mission”.

Although he is actively involved in several community activities, initiatives, and a strong believer of strengthening families; Chris believes HCC does an outstanding job at addressing the issues that are really dear to his heart, which includes HCC’s Project Spirit and services to youth at the HCC Teen Health Center at Muskegon High School.

Chris is one of seven siblings (he and his wife share this in common); he and his wife have two adult sons that are married and a younger son that is entering his second year of college. They also have five grandchildren. Chris coaches football, has a love for tropical fish, and admits to reading and doing research on just about everything. In spite of his busy schedule, he relaxes by watching wildlife programs, playing with his three dogs and spending quiet time with his family.
